Current distributions of funds from sanctions and settlements

Current distributions of funds from sanctions and settlements

In cases where funds received under orders of the Capital Markets Tribunal or settlement agreements have been approved for distribution to investors, the distribution may be undertaken by a receiver appointed under section 129 of Ontario’s Securities Act and supervised by the Superior Court of Justice. In some cases, the Ministry of the Attorney General of Ontario may assist the OSC by distributing these funds using the process under the Civil Remedies Act.
