Investor warnings and alerts
As part of the Ontario Securities Commission’s mandate to protect investors and the integrity of our markets, the OSC issues investor alerts about potential harmful activity in progress and warnings to caution the public about individuals or companies that may pose risk to investors. A record of all alerts and warnings dating back to 2010 can be found on this page.
You should always check the registration of any person or business trying to sell you an investment or give you investment advice. Check registration before you send any money – no matter how little you plan to invest. Learn how to check registration on our Check Before You Invest and Registered crypto asset trading platforms pages.
We issue these alerts and warnings to the media and post them on this page and on our Twitter account. To get updates as soon as they are published sign up for email alerts or subscribe to our investor alerts and warnings RSS feeds.
If you’ve been approached by anyone listed in one of these alerts or have information relating to an alert, contact us immediately. Please also contact us if you are approached by anyone not listed on this page who is not registered.
