Active Distributions

There are currently no active distributions of disgorgement under the statutory framework.

In cases where other sanction and settlement funds that are not part of the statutory distribution framework have been approved for distribution to investors, the distribution may be undertaken by a receiver appointed under section 129 of Ontario’s Securities Act and supervised by the Superior Court of Justice. In some cases, the Ministry of the Attorney General of Ontario may assist the OSC by distributing these funds using the process under the Civil Remedies Act.
