OSC Obtains Court Order Appointing KPMG as Receiver Over
Affairs of New Life Capital Corp

TORONTO - As a result of an application by the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC), the Superior Court of Justice (Commercial Court) issued an endorsement on December 17, 2008 approving an order appointing KPMG as receiver and manager of all of the property of New Life Capital Corp. and its related entities (New Life). The application was not opposed by New Life.

Under section 129 of the Securities Act, the OSC may apply to the Court for an order appointing a receiver and manager where it is in the best interests of, among others, security holders or subscribers of the company over which the receiver and manager is appointed, or where it is appropriate for the due administration of Ontario securities law.

A copy of the Court Order is posted on the OSC's website at www.osc.gov.on.ca.

Clients of New Life who may have questions concerning the receivership should contact KPMG at 416-777-8500.
