Ontario Court of Justice convicts Emilia von Anhalt and Jurgen von Anhalt

TORONTO – Justice J.C. Moore of the Ontario Court of Justice today convicted Emilia von Anhalt of 65 counts of contravening the Ontario Securities Act (the “Act”). Justice Moore also convicted Jurgen von Anhalt of 27 counts of contravening the Act.

Emilia von Anhalt, who did not appear at her trial and was proceeded against in her absence, was convicted of trading securities while unregistered, trading securities without a prospectus, and violating the terms of an order made by the Ontario Securities Commission (the “Commission”) by trading securities of Lydia Diamond Exploration of Canada (“Lydia”), by acting as a director and officer of Lydia, and by failing to resign as a director or officer of any issuer. Emilia von Anhalt also was convicted of making prohibited representations with the intention of effecting a trade of securities.

Jurgen von Anhalt was convicted of trading securities while unregistered, trading securities without a prospectus, and violating the terms of a Commission Order by trading Lydia securities and by failing to resign as a director or officer of any issuer.

The proceedings were adjourned for sentencing to Courtroom 504, College Park Courthouse on February 9, 2007 at 10:00 a.m.
